Future Species

We are always working towards getting the threatened species we work with into more places so that these populations can expand and be better protected against further decline (insurance populations). This also means we get to partner with governments and other organisations to reach as many sanctuaries as possible. Some recent and future translocations include:

  • Two new populations of bush stone-curlew in Victoria

  • Bringing eastern bettongs to NSW and a second population to the ACT

  • Planning for the first managed wild population of New Holland mice in NSW

  • One new population of eastern quolls in Victoria and expanding a second
